Crypto liquidations

Positions that Binance, Bybit and OKX closed by force because their margin ran out. How much was liquidated in the last hour, four hours, twelve hours and day, on which exchange and in which coins, which side was hit, the largest liquidations and a live feed, counted from a record that the page keeps itself.

Liquidations are not being collected yet

Liquidation data is not available yet. The totals, the largest liquidations, the live feed and the history appear here once the collector has begun to store them. Reload the page later.

What is a liquidation?

A trader who uses leverage puts up margin to hold a position. When the price moves against the position so far that the margin would no longer cover the loss, the exchange closes it by force. A long position is closed by selling it and a short position by buying it back; that forced sale or purchase is a liquidation.

A large amount of long liquidations in a short time means that the price fell fast enough to close many bullish positions, and a large amount of short liquidations that it rose fast enough to close many bearish ones. This page shows what happened. It does not predict a price, and nothing on it is advice.

About this data

The page keeps its own record. A collector listens day and night to the public liquidation streams of Binance (USD-M and COIN-M futures), Bybit (USDT and USDC contracts) and OKX (swaps and futures), and stores each liquidation with its contract, side, price and size. Its value in US dollars is worked out from the size, the size of the contract and the price. Only contracts quoted in US dollars or a dollar stablecoin are counted, so that every figure is in dollars and the figures add up.

Every window ends now, and every time on the page is in UTC. The record begins when the collector first ran, apart from the few liquidations that OKX delivers late, which can be older: a window that reaches back past that moment says so, and a bar of the history that lies before it is empty, which is not a bar of zero.

A minute in which the collector was not watching every connection of an exchange is a gap in the record of that exchange, and a liquidation in it is lost. The Observed column of the table is the share of the minutes of the window that were watched, and a bar of the history in which minutes were missed is drawn faded. Nothing is filled in.

A page that stays open asks for the totals every 15 seconds, for the live feed every 10 seconds, for the largest liquidations every 30 seconds and for the history every minute, while it is in view. Clear Refresh automatically to keep the figures where they are; a read that fails leaves them on the screen and says so.

Limits worth knowing before you compare figures:

  • Every figure is a floor of what happened, not the whole of it. How far it can lie from the real figure depends on what each exchange sends, and the page counts three exchanges, not the whole market.
  • Binance sends only one liquidation of a contract in each second: the largest on its USD-M futures since 14 April 2026, and the latest on its COIN-M futures. In a second in which a contract is liquidated many times, only that one reaches the page.
  • Bybit states that its feed pushes all the liquidations that occur on it.
  • The contracts that Bybit settles in the coin (BTCUSD and the like, the inverse contracts) are not counted: the documentation of its feed does not say in which unit the size of such a liquidation is given, so the page does not guess a value in dollars for it.
  • OKX states that its feed is not the total of its liquidations. It also delivers some of the liquidations that it does send late: by about half an hour in a measurement made on 1 November 2026 and by more than an hour and a half in one made on 2 November 2026. The totals of the last hours can therefore still rise after they have been shown.
  • Each exchange states the price of a liquidation in its own terms: Binance the average price the order filled at, Bybit its bankruptcy price and OKX the price of the transaction with its liquidation account.
